Plus Size Sewing Patterns - 13 patterns
The inclusion of a section specifically for plus size sewing patterns was a relatively late move for Freeneedle and came about specifically because one of our users emailed to ask if we had any plus size dresses listed in the directory.
Only then did we discover how, on an internet awash with free sewing projects and patterns, plus size designs are surprisingly difficult to find. It does seem that many larger sewers get creative with smaller patterns and adapt them to larger sizes, however there are specific tutorials out there and we will continue to add them here as we come across them.
In this sections, we include patterns that are either specifically designed for plus sizes or that lend themselves to being easily adapted. You may also want to take a look at the Understanding Sewing Patterns section as that includes some links to pages that explain resizing patterns.
