Dye Fabric - 11 patterns

Using dyes to produce your own unique fabrics is a great way for sewers to take their projects a bit further and needn't require any specialist equipment.

While there are all sorts of products available for use when dying fabric, including more modern innovations such as spray dyes, you don't need to limit yourself to such products.

Traditionally naturally occurring dyes would be sourced from nature and this can still be a very attractive way to dye your own projects. However if you're looking for colors with rather more punch, kids' powdered drinks can be a surprising effective way to give fabrics strong and distinct colors that nature could never hope to match.
