A body form or dress form is a mannequin torso used by dress makers to make it easier to make adjustments to their work.
Buying a body form is not cheap, but if you do a lot of dressmaking then it may be an investment that you need to make.
However, thanks to the creativeness and generosity of other sewing enthusiasts, there is a surprising number of free tutorials and videos online that share some simple techniques for making your own body form that will have your exact measurements. These mostly use duct tape or other types of tape and it looks quite hilarious see so many people wrapped in tape, but this is a fantastic way to make your own low cost dress forms.
